Ooh, fun reviews! I enjoyed the interview a ton. I thought I knew a lot about you, but I didn’t know you loved A Wrinkle in Time, or who your favorite authors were, or that you were reading Bujold. Fun!
SarahP convinced me to finally read Bujold and I’m glad I did!
I listened to The Curse Of Chalion and The Paladin of Souls as audiobooks. Oddly, I didn’t like either of them particularly in the beginning, but found they were worth sticking with and loved them by the end.
I haven’t read either of those. I’ve only read Shards of Honor and the first Miles book. I’m really not sure why I haven’t read others — I loved Shards of Honor.
I’ve liked every Miles book I’ve read so far (3? 4?). I abandoned The Curse Of Chalion once but really really liked it once I got further in. I had the exact same problem with the beginning of Paladin of Souls (they’re loosely related), but reminded myself about the beginning of Curse and persisted.
Paladin has a middle-aged woman as the main character and she’s terribly cranky, but also awesome.
